PS. Episode mentions Elmer Ellsworth was purportedly first Union soldier to die. 🤔 Because another well researched podcast claims 2 Union soldiers (originally from Ireland) died after cannon backfire during Ft. Sumpter siege—which marked beginning of Civil War April 1861. Again 🤔

This is an extraordinary episode. The music was so stirring. It’s be nice if Fred included at least one Civil War song in each broadcast. Songs would add additional depth to this already fine program.
